DIY Photo Organising
Hello and welcome!
I’m Chantal Imbach from Photos In Order and, together with my friend and co-founder Fiona McLauchlan from Counselling Memories, started this podcast in 2018. We have been friends for a long time, having met when our kids started pre-school together in 2010, and quickly discovered we both shared an interest in anything to do with organising! Today we both run our own independent businesses: me as a professionally certified Photo Manager, and Fiona as a counsellor.
In August 2018, over one of our regular, and usually quite excited and animated conversations about photos, we talked of our awareness of the growing number of people that were stuck when it came to figuring out how to manage their own photos. As passionate photo managers we thought…Let’s help! Let’s do something!…and so in November 2018 the DIY Photo Organising Podcast was born! Since mid-2026, I’ve been running it solo, as Fiona has moved on to new ventures, focusing her energy on growing her counselling practice.
At the heart of the podcast are the 5 Golden Rules of Photo Organising, designed to help you get started with your photo organising projects straight away. Techy tips help you navigate software, along with practical, step-by-step advice to organise and safely back up your photos, and guests who are specialists in their own areas of managing photos are also regularly interviewed.
